TOO LONG / DIDN'T READ:
Owner, Phil Vollmer, serves the Finger Lakes region keeping your RV in the best shape possible whether its repairs, upgrades, or general maintenance. I have a long history and an arsenal of knowledge specifically about water leaks, the biggest threat to your RV! After 17 years in related industries, I took a leap of faith and left the corporate world to accomplish 2 goals. 1: To meet and help great people like yourself. (Some of the nicest people I've ever met were fellow RV'ers and share the same values that I do) and 2: To create a lifestyle that was more conducive to my family. I have the great support of my wonderful wife Sarah, and my 2 kids Douglas (age 8) and Lillian (age 5).

THE LENGTHY STORY:
I started my working career working alongside with my late father at our family parts store specializing in auto, truck and marine. From there I made the jump to an OEM Vehicle manufacturer building paratransit buses on Ford or GM chassis. I grew considerably with that company eventually becoming the Service and Production Manager. It was in this role I gained substantial knowledge about the construction of vehicles, diagnostic troubleshooting, and especially water leaks. Our shop specialized in the Almost all bus manufacturers also have a division that builds RV's, so they all share vendors, materials, engineering, and many other resources. My son, who was 6 at the time, was racing go carts and I was looking for an RV suitable to tow our trailer to his state tour races. Out of necessity, I converted a 2004 International bus, built by the company I was working for, into an RV and the wheels were turning inside my head. My career was at a critical juncture as there had recently been a large merger. I was under tremendous pressure to quadruple our facilities output and wasn't getting approval for the resources we desperately needed. I am not one to stray away from hard work, but I didn't see the situation improving so I took the leap decided to focus my energy on something that I would see gains from. While I was waiting for my business license to arrive, I did have some second thoughts. I applied for a job at one of the area's prevailing RV dealerships. As I sat in the waiting room waiting for my interview, the receptionist repetedly told customers that the shop couldn't address their RV for 6 months no matter if they bought it there or what. That gave me the confidence that I needed to double down and hit the ground running. I was offered the job verbally, but by the time Human Resources called me to officially offer me the job I was already fulfilling appointments of my own.
